One of the most fascinating beach where you can watch airplane right above your head is the Maho Beach on the Dutch side of Caribbean island of Saint Martin, in the country of Sint Maarten. The famous Princess Julianna International Airport situated beside Maho Beach attract plane spotters for it’s uniquely low flying airliners. This runway is very short, measuring only 2,130 meters.
There are even airline timetables in bars and restaurants on this beach to watch airliners passing over the beach.
Fences were added behind the runway to prevent people from hanging onto the main fence to be blasted away.
Local government put up a signboard warning people about the danger of being blown into the water because of the jet blast from aircraft taking off from the runway.
