Exploding Watermelons In China


According to Xinhua news agency , 20 farmers in Jiangsu province village apparently planted imported seeds from Japan, with 10 farmers saying their watermelons began exploding one by one.
A farmer by the name Liu Mingsuo told Xinhua that more than 2/3 of his crop were ruined.
It’s claimed that farmers in China had miused chemicals which intended to accelereate the fruits’s growth.
However, several farmers including Mr. Wang Dehong, who has been farming watermelons for 20 years, couldn’t understand why his fruits also exploded as he had not used any chemicals.
Agriculture experts couldn’t provide explaination on why chemical free melons exploded. They however cited the weather and abnormal size of the melons as the factors.
