Heart disease and stroke has become the No, 1 killer in Malaysia. Two of the main causes are:

  • Smoking – A smoker has more than double, and up to four times the risk of heart disease than a non-smoker. Smoking increases your heart rate and your requirement for oxygen, generally increasing the risk of heart attack and angina,
  • Diet – A person eating a diet of too much fat, especially saturated fat, may have almost double the risk of heart disease.
